In its fourth year, the Swiss Innovation Challenge will once again be able to convince with great candidates and a comprehensive support concept. The innovation competition, which was launched in 2015 by the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, the Chamber of Commerce Baselland and the Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank, is prospering and is now one of the largest competitions of its kind in Switzerland.
The Swiss Innovation Challenge is a promotional programme for innovative ideas of all kinds and is aimed both at start-ups and existing companies, especially SMEs. Participants come from a wide variety of sectors, both domestic and foreign.
The primary objective of the Swiss Innovation Challenge is to promote innovative ideas and thus to promote the Swiss culture of innovation. At the heart of this is our support programme, which is based on three pillars: knowledge transfer, individual support and exchange within the network. These numerous services, from which the participants benefit, are free of charge.
In the field of knowledge transfer, we offer several different seminars, for example on business planning or financing. Short inputs obtain most diverse economical know-how, which it needs, in order to bring an innovation or a Startup to flying. Within the range of the individual support we offer Coachings by proven experts or a mentoring program with specialists from the economy, from which the participants can profit. In addition, it is important to us to strengthen the network among the participants and to offer opportunities for discussion and mutual exchange. It is these funding components that make our competition stand out from the rest.
Our success to date proves us right, and the 2018 event was also a great success. And so the final pitch was again very tight in view of the numerous outstanding projects. Finally, three projects were successful, the diversity of which well reflects the broad spectrum of innovation opportunities.
In the new year 2019 we again expect an exciting competition with interesting personalities and their projects. Of course, our former participants are also invited to take part in the Challenge again. In addition to the special awards for internationalization and life sciences, other industry-specific awards are in preparation. We are also making greater efforts to gain direct access to investors.
Thank you very much for your interest and the intensive exchange this year. We are looking forward to the continuation in 2019!
We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
With best regards
